I am writing this document in order to comply with the new European privacy regulations of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) which will become mandatory from 25 May 2018. Any service or organization that is able to collect sensitive personal data via a website or blog, must comply with this.

Although klop.solutions does not have the intention to gather lots of information about visitors and readers (this is a hobby blog, and I do not earn a penny with it), even with a hobby blog, one somehow collects a lot of data.

Klop.solutions is responsible for the processing of personal data as set out in this privacy policy. Klop.solutions does not have a designated data protection officer. The owner of this website takes the protection of your personal information very seriously: I treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the legal provisions for data protection, as well as with this privacy policy.

The use of my website is possible without providing personal details. As far as personal details (e.g. name, address or e-mail address) are collected on my blog, this is always done on a voluntary basis. This information will not be disclosed to third parties without your explicit consent.

I would like to point out that data transfer via the internet (for example in case of communication by e-mail) may have potential security breaches. Full protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

This website is made with WordPress. I use the standard comment function. In addition to your comments, information is stored about when the comment was made, your e-mail address and the username you used. If you want, you can also respond under an alias.

The WordPress comment function stores the IP addresses of the users who write comments. I need this information to be able to act against the author in case of insults or propaganda.

This website uses the WordPress tool Slimstat Analytics to analyze visitor traffic statistically. Slimstat Analytics is open source software from software vendor, Jason Crouse, New York, USA, https://www.wp-slimstat.com.

Slimstat Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website. The information about the use of my website is stored on my virtual server. Your IP address will be anonymised after processing and before storage.

You can set your browser in a way that you are informed about the setting of cookies and that cookies are only allowed in individual cases, that cookies are only accepted for certain cases or not at all, or that cookies are automatically deleted when the browser is closed.

Klop.solutions only uses functional (necessary) and analytical cookies, which do not infringe your privacy.
